Behind the boutique façade of restaurants, hotels and galleries, there

few moments to acknowledge what Mother Earth has given us. Explore local
community, religion and ceremony while wandering through the villages that
depend on the rice fields and the rush of a mountain stream for their

We invite you to join one of our eco-treks through Ubud's outskirts and into
the villages and temples around Bali. Keep Walking Tours will take you on
asphalt roads, thru dirt paths, across bamboo bridges and into ravines and rice
paddies... With the assistance of our special eco-cultural guides you will
discover the fascinating and magical serenity in one of our world's last
remaining traditional animist cultures.
We quote some prices in Rp and some in US$. Please note that the current

A Canopy of White – The Bali Heron Experience |
For generations on end the wild heron has lived in Bali's treetops. On this
walk you will wander Ubud's outskirts, following the herons' shadow; reaching

Mountain Agung Trekking – Climb New Heights! |
The hardest mountain to climb in Bali is Mt. Agung, the mother mountain of
Bali. When the Balinese pray in ceremony, they pray in the direction of Mt.
Agung because the mountain embodies the sprit of all the gods... this is called
"Bhatara Lingsir Gunung Agung".
To climb Gunung Agung is the ultimate Challange. You will start at 12 midnite
from Basecamp, where you will spend the night before. Ending hours later,
exhausted on the noth side of the mountain.

Mountain Batur Trekking – Climb A Live Volcano |
Climbing Mt. Batur, Bali's occasionally live volcano, is a must-do for the
quintessential traveler. It is best to start the climb at 5:30am (+/-) and
arrive at the top as the sun crests over the mountains. A driver will pick you
up from your Ubud hotel at 4:30am to make the drive to Kintamani. The sunrise
walk includes an invigorating climb up the mountain under the morning's first
rays of sunshine. View all of Bali's beauty from the peak... Your day long trip
includes a breakfast coffee break and all transportation to & from the
mountain.

Country Side walk in the Sideman Valley |
Leave Ubud at 8am. The driver takes you to Sideman, where you will meet Pak
Gede, your old-time tour guide. Experience the gorgeous sideman valley, while
walking through its small villages and farmland; cross a river and end the walk
with a lovely lunch in the valley. You can bring your bathing suit to swim at a
local hotel pool as well if you wish.

Mountain to the Beach Walk |
Starting from Kintamani and Batur Lake, you meet Pak Gede, your old-time tour
guide, and walk down the backside of the mountain over the hills and valleys of
Bali's Buleleng Regency, ending up on Bali's North Coast, at Singaraja's beach
front. Bring a bathing suit to swim in the ocean at the end of your to! We
suggest that you arrange to spend the night in Singaraja after your tour and
continue your Bali North Coast experience from that point on. We can recommend
lots of places to stay. This walk can be anywhere from 5 to 8 hrs long
depending on your pace.
(6-8hrs) we will arrange pick up from your hotel at 7am the day of your tour
& help you make reservations at a North Coast Hotel for the night after, if
you wish.

Batur Lake Circle Walk |
Kintamani-Batur Lake is the starting point where Pak Gede. From here you cross
the lake to Trunyan, a Bali-Aga village, known for its out-of-the ordinary
burial rites (see in your guide books for details). Circle Lake Batur, walk
through villages until you arrive back in Kintamani for lunch or dinner and
your ride home.

Bedegul Country Side Walk |
Starting from Bedegul Lake, you wander hillsides of Bedegul valley in central
Bali, walking through rice fields, farmland and lakes. What makes this trip
different from the others is not only the landscape, but also the local
weather... Much cooler than coastal Bali, you can walk easily without breaking
too much of a sweat. The sky becomes overcast with clouds by 2-3pm each day, so
this tour is best done early, ending with a riverside lunch.
